I help clients work on solving "here and now" problems. I focus on creating productive problem solving behaviours. I establish a safe and mutually respectful working relationship with all my clients. This working relationship provides you with the essential tools you need to utilize in your day-to-day functions and improve the quality of your life.
Psychosocial therapy:
I have a Psychosocial approach which looks at the physical (body), psychological (mind) and social aspects (how we interact with others) of the individual. These elements I believe are all intertwined, if one or more of these is compromised then it throws the rest out of balance. This method ensures a healthy balanced lifestyle.
Fees:
My fee is $85 for a 60 minute session. Counselling and Psychosocial Therapy fees are not rebatable through Medicare or private health funds.
Appointments:
Counselling and Psychosocial Therapy is such a personal thing, it is important that we are comfortable working with each other. I like to spend the first session understanding what you would like to work on, to explore how we might do this, and to answer any questions you have about the process. For this reason, I do not charge for the first "getting to know each other" session. After the first session if you feel that this process is not going to benefit you, there is no pressure to continue.
